C25K – Week 2
I’ve completed week two of my Couch to 5k program, although I honestly still have to do my 3rd and final run of the week later today.
I did do one run outside in my neighborhood this week and running there was very different than running on the treadmill. I will use one run a week around my neighborhood to judge my progress, and so far I can tell you I have a long way to go.
The app continues to frustrate me because I cannot hear the commands over the music even as it lowers the volume, the Nike+ Running app is much better in that regard.
Weight: 277.3 – Lost 1.8 Pounds
I did in fact complete my run yesterday morning. This time the commands from the 5K Runner app were crystal clear but the app “cancelled” the run with no notice just before the cool down phase of the run. I noticed it after running for 6 minutes straight and checked the app and it was in the “Ready to Start Running” phase. uuhhhhggg
Thank you for the encouragement Lois, I hope you continue to to make progress in your C25K journey.
I’m going to check out that NHS version of the app, thank you for the recommendation.

Go Kris! Keep up the good work. I am on week 5 of C25K and struggling, but hopefully getting there.
If hearing the commands is tough then I recommend the NHS version of the programme. Clear commands because all the music and commands have been put together as a package.
I am noticing that I am going a little further each week. I run on a tow path and its great when you get to finally turn another corner and see another view.
Just remember that even if you are struggling, you are doing a lot better than the you who was sat on the couch just a couple of weeks ago.
Keep us posed with your progress.
